Cloudy and cool with a chance of rain.

Of course, I knew it would be so.  We have had days of beautiful, warm sunshine.  I had looked forward to folks being able to eat on the front screened porch, but it was not to be.  There was some sun, some rain and the air was a little too cool to enjoy tea and cake on the porch, but we still had a wonderful weekend.

Our Spring Open House was a lovely success.

We had vintage spring tablecloths and linens on the line.

And of course pansies and flowers everywhere.

And boy, I am tired.
These events take so much out of me and leave me wiped out, but I enjoy every minute of it.
Thanks to each and every one of you who came out to make it a success.
If you missed the open house, we still have lots of pretties available and the sales will continue through April.
Spring Open House is always two weeks before Easter.
See you next year!!!!

Signs of Spring

It's not technically spring yet, but it's spring inside our shop.

I thought everyone might enjoy a preview of some of my wreaths and arrangements.

This ribbon looks blue, but is actually purple on this sweet nest with heather and buttercups.

A little arrangement with a sweet little birdhouse.

A wreath of cherry blossoms and apple blossoms.

A wreath with butterflies.

Tulips and apple blossoms in a galvanized bucket.

Another sweet wreath with butterflies.

Hand painted windows and slates.

Spring on my little side porch.

White dogwood blossoms.

And a closing thought for the day.

Love you all and hope to see you soon.

My new old bathroom cabinet

Thought you my like a look at my new, old bathroom cabinet.

My husband bought it for me from my sweet sister-in-law Carrie.

I absolutely love it!

Sorry some of the pictures are fuzzy, I haven't quite got the hang of the new version of blogger.

There is lots of room for my beautiful collection of white bisque porcelain.

I have had it for a long time but really nowhere to put it.

My children's porcelain baby shoes have also found a home.

A pink bunny my mom made several years ago.

An old powder box that belonged to a great aunt and left over roses and lavendar from my daughter's wedding.

It's the perfect place for lots of the sweet things that I had nowhere to put before.

The night my husband brought it home, I couldn't think where to put it, so we put it in the dining room until I could decide.

The next night we made room for it in the bathroom. After we had it in place, he said, "Now if you just had some new towels to put in it!"

And I said, "Baby, I'm way ahead of you!"

In my apothecary jar I have lavendar bags left from the wedding. My sweet little finch is sitting on a bar of handmade goat's milk soap made by my young friend Mary Crys. I have the finches and the goat's milk soap in the shop for sale. Although I am a little low on the soap.

And in the bottom of the cabinet , I have room for my linens and things. I have placed a small jar candle of my wonderful Keeper's of the Light candles to make the whole cabinet smell sweet.

Hope you have enjoyed looking into my new, old cabinet.

I have been really busy in the shop too!

Our Spring Open House is just around the corner. March 24 & 25. I can't wait!!

I have so many beautiful wreaths and arrangements for spring!

But, you don't have to wait until then, as a matter of fact, I am adding another day to my week.

I am currently open Wednesday through Saturday from 10-5. I am now currently open on Sundays by chance. Starting in July, I will be open each Sunday from 1-5.

I will preview spring items in my next post!

Hope to see you soon!

Keeping Busy

Cold dreary days are one of my favorites!

That's right.

It gives me time and the perfect excuse to stay inside and sew.

Here are a few things I have been working on and a few peeks of the shop since the Christmas stock has found it's way back to its own private room.

Until next time, stay warm and keep busy!

See you soon,
