2012 Christmas Open House

I know the leaves are not off the trees yet, but it's time for our Christmas Open House!

We have lots of great things to choose from

Painted houses from our Christmas Village

 Painted  glassware

Sweet Cardinals

Lots of Bling

 Wonderful soaps

 Papers with bling

Purses and jewelry.  All jewelry is under $10.00.  Purses in the $20 - $32.95 Dollar range.

Pretty papers by Lady Jayne Ltd.
are $4.95 & $5.95.

Our purses are by Bella Taylor, just as pretty and much more affordable.

Still more bling and pretty papers!

Wonderful Raven's Nest Jams and Salsa
as well as many different wind and willow cheese ball mixes.

Cardinal ornaments

Love you more snowmen and ornaments.

And as usual lots of things I can't show here.
I hope you are able to come.

See you soon,
Tommye

P.S.  If you are going to need candles before Christmas, You might want to come in soon.  The Cheerful Giver Candle Company is located on a river in beautiful Elmer New Jersey.  As you know, Hurricane Sandy has made land fall in that area.  I obviously, for very selfish reasons, hope the company comes through unscathed.  If it does not, the shipping may be slow or not all.
Though you might want to know!!

Crafts Fair Time and a Computer that won't talk to me

Well it is once again time for the annual Beersheba Springs Arts and Crafts Fair!

The crafts fair is in it's 46th year and going strong.

I have been busy cleaning, cooking and painting.

I know I promised you a preview, but my new computer won't talk to me.  Our old one threw up the blue screen of death right after I printed out my invitation cards that you may have gotten in the mail.  Our son has built us a new computer that is bigger and faster,  but it doesn't yet have the programs installed that I need to upload pictures.
I am not a computer genius and everything I know about computers I learned from one of my three children.  I am afraid I am clueless about this!!  I can usually figure things out, given long enough, but unfortunately, I don't have a day or two to figure it out.

The menu for
Saturday, August 25th is as follows

Mountain Top Chicken Salad on a Croissant or Mountain Top Barbecue Pork on a bun
Chips
Dill Pickle Spear
Watermelon Slices
Drink
(Choice of Fruit Tea, Sweet or Unsweetened Tea, Lemonade or Water)

Dessert
(Choice of Coconut Cake, Strawberry Coconut Cake, Strawberry Cake,
German Chocolate Cake, Buttermilk Pound Cake, Chocolate Ganache Cake,
Pecan Pie or Chess Pie)

The price is still a wonderful bargain at only $10.00!!!!!

There will be seating on the two front porches as well as seating in the garden area under the front trees.

We are hoping for a wonderful day.

Make plans to come see us.

I have a fresh batch of Keeper's of the Light Candles on the way,
Feathered Nest Soaps, new fall items from the Country House Collection and from Primitives by Kathy.   I have a fresh shipment of that wonderful Raven's Nest Raspberry Jalapeno Jam.  Sweet sunflower wreaths., Pumpkin head Men, Crow and Picket fence candle holders, huge red lanterns from Country House, lots of painted slates, cardinal ornaments, I could go on and on, but I best not.
All my spare time between now and next Thursday will be devoted to painting, painting, and more painting.  The good Lord willing, I will have some spare time, as I have  spent so much time preparing in advance.

I am so sorry I am unable to publish pictures.  Please just come and see for your self!!

Hope to see you soon!

Handpainted mirror

Another log cabin mirror

Here is  my latest log cabin mirror.
Mirrors are very difficult for me to photograph.

You really can't get the full effect because of the many reflections and the light bouncing off.

This is a cozy little get away cabin nestled at the foot of the mountains with the snow drifting down.
A sweet place for two to spend a winters night by the fire.

Off to do some gardening (maybe I can sneak in a little painting this evening).

Hope to see you soon,

Tommye

Dogwood Blossoms

Well, I finally got them finished.

I had an order to paint dogwood blossoms on a cannister set.  I love dogwoods, but they are not something I paint a lot.  If I don't do something regularly, I begin to get a little rusty.  So, I decided to paint several items before I tackled Sharon's cannister set.

First, I painted this vase.

Then, I painted this cover for a cake plate.

I painted a pitcher, and of course, you have to have glasses.

I painted a slate for someone's porch.
And then I decided I was ready.

And here it is.  I think it turned out pretty good.
If Sharon likes it then life is sweet!

Finishing a log cabin painting on a mirror tomorrow.

Hope to see you soon,
Tommye
